HSSOA 2025-2026 Fitness Test Format and Test Dates
Good morning! We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. There are two upcoming HSSOA fitness tests.
Our first HSSOA Fitness Test is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Dobie High School (10220 Blackhawk Blvd, Houston, TX 77089). The test will start at 10:30AM sharp – meaning we will start running at 10:30am, not entering the parking lot at 10:30am. Please take a moment to review the PT requirements here. If you would like to participate, please complete this Google Form to RSVP.
Our second HSSOA Fitness Test is scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Katy Taylor High School (20700 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77450). The test will also start at 10:30AM sharp with the same PT requirements as the first test. If you would like to participate, please contact Jonathan Elton at jonathanelton@fastmail.fm.
In order to be eligible to officiate UIL Regional and State playoff games (i.e., after the third round of playoffs), referees must, among other things, pass a fitness test.
The HSSOA fitness test consists of two events, both of which must be completed for a participant to pass the fitness test. HSSOA uses the same format as NISOA, as described below:
