A $127.9 million proposal for major renovations to the 59-year-old Darrell Tully Stadium & the 51-year-old Don Coleman Coliseum has passed the Spring Branch Bond vote with 4,620 votes for to 4,529 against.

The Stadium opened in 1966 and today is home to the district’s four high schools’ varsity football games, high school and middle school soccer, lacrosse, and high school  rugby. Tully continues to be a stadium of choice for playoff football and soccer games and is regularly used when conditions do not play on the grass fields.

Upgrades will include a comprehensive security package, perimeter fencing, and new marquee sign. New cast-in-place concrete seating will be installed together with a rebuild and expansion to the stadium buildings to include new restrooms, concession and press box and elevator tower. Upgraded sports lighting, A/V and low voltage systems and new digital video board will be installed and there will be a refresh for the synthetic turf surface, installed in 2010.

The proposed $72.8 million rebuild of the Reggie Grob Stadium, built in 1952 failed and the facility will remain as is.
