The membership payment to HSSOA is the main source of income that funds the Chapter. This pays for:
-
training events by professional instructors
-
business and administrative expenses, bookkeeping, website
-
local fitness testing for qualification for State play-offs.
As part of your payment to HSSOA all members have $100 put into their accounts to cover an initial assigning credit deposit of 20 games. HSSOA charges a $5 assigning fee per game to cover the costs of our assignors and the Assignr software and is paid at the same rate for all types of games and for all positions worked.
The $5 fee is deducted from your HSSOA account as the season progresses. As you do more games you will need to top up your account so you can be assigned more games. A weekly update of balances is listed on this website and you will be notified if your balance dips below zero. If you stay in negative, you will not be assigned and we will require a bigger deposit to be reinstated.
All games are assigned through Assignr software, accessed through a computer and also a free mobile App. Instructions for navigating the portal can be found here
If you are a first year referee, you are required to attend one of our scheduled on field training sessions, dates and times and location to be published on the website.
