HSSOA Great News For Next Seasons Members!
At the May 2024 Board meeting it was agreed that the cost of membership for the 2024-25 season would decrease, the per game fee would remain the same and $100 in credits would be required to start the season. Eligible returning members will also receive $100 in free credits from HSSOA if they meet the criteria below:
The total upfront payment required for the season is as follows and assumes a zero balance in a members account:

Membership Game Charge for 2024-25
The per game fee remains $5 per game for all positions officiated in all types of game. $100, equal to 20 game credits, is required to start the season. This is $10 higher than last season.
Existing Member Give Back Program
In recognition of HSSOA being in a healthy financial position returning members who meet the following criteria will receive $100 worth of credits in their account from HSSOA, this is equal to 20 credits. This is a one-off give back for the 2024-25 season only.
To qualify for this a member must:
- Be a returning member from the 2023/4 season.
- Be in good standing by June 20th, 2024. 303 members have met this requirement.
- Have joined TASO, passed the exam and joined HSSOA, including having made the required payments by November 15th, 2024.
Member Definitions
- A Full Member is someone over 21, who is not a bona fide student at an accredited place of learning and is not joining HSSOA for the first time.
- A New Member is someone who is joining HSSOA for the first time.
- A U21 Member is someone who is under 21 years of age on December 1st, 2024.
- A Student Member is someone who is a bona fide student at an accredited place of learning, for example, college or university.
Questions & Answers
Any positive balances in member accounts from the 2023-24 season roll over and are used towards the required payment.
Any negative balances must be paid off and at minimum a zero balance achieved by June 20th to enable potential qualification for the $100 give back. Joining HSSOA requires all outstanding amounts to have been paid off.
It should be noted that Members cannot get a refund of any of the $100 give back credit until June 2025.
